JCNEA!!!

I know we are all doing the Fasting & Praying (1 meal per day) & 1opm unit synchronize prayer yea?!

every day, we are labouring w prayers! as u receive sms from ya cls of each day prayer pt for F&P, oso individually, every night 10pm, we are praying particularly for for cg goals/ess/contacts etc. ;)

I believe u guys fast and pray, the more dependent u are towards God and more desperated as well?! we really need to depend on God so much more as we do his work. and i;ve been keeping u guys in prayers too! :D
lets continue to EXPECT great things from God yea?! We need to be on board in this.

Recently been getting to know my neighbour more who is from nyjc! haha. met her to watch movie w the ny peeps 2 wks ago and we still working on her. today i met her up awhile to buy bubble tea at compass pt. pls pray for me too!

Two events this sat:

1) Clique svc @ 3pm.
2) after svc: BBQ @ Potong Pasir
- there will be coach to bring us there!
- the planning community met and planned out great games and food.
(they really put in lots of efforts!)
-so juz 1 task u need to do..and thats to : invite!!!

hello people!!




I am at brisbane now, just broke from ablaze camp last night. It was really an eye opener being here and i'm so glad i came. The church here is about 105 people, and camp was great!
I came here together with a few others like Shirley, Raphael, Daniel Cheah and Jacq. We really saw how god moved, in the hearts of people and the atmosphere here is just so thick and filled with spirit. I just want to say that even though i'm here, i'm so so sad that i can't be there to cheer you guys on for our push for god's hands to move during ess. Just want to say that i'm praying really really hard for u guys and i believe with all my heart that God's hands will move this coming clique services, God is ready to move, the question is are we ready? haha, you young people back in jcnea, people in brisbane, melbourne and auckland are looking at you guys to set an example, so people, give God ur best k! will be back on wed night, and my prayers are with you guys, God can use us to accomplish great things! We can do it people. jiayou and lets see cg08 complete for God!!

i know this came a tad too late, but this is a gentle reminder to all who haven't paid for camp!

please bring your money,

which is the first day of word for life! (:
please do take note that registration ends on 31/05/08, therefore, please remind each other to bring the money if any of you haven't paid.
($120 for new believers from march, $130 for the rest)

CL Retreat - April 2008 5/17/2008 04:16:00 AM

Hey peeps!

I know its been a long long long long long time this blog has been updated, but I'm here to make a difference! haha.. This is Chua Hui Qi, reporting from the NEJCCL team, by the way.

I'm here to report about the CL retreat that the leaders had like, a month ago? okay. I know its crazily long, but i had a hard time trying to get the username and password of this blog k? Give me benefit of the doubt..

First, I would like to thank our organisers, Mr Lamee (Jon Quek), and Ms Pui Pui (aka flabby arms, lard cheeks.... Hsiaoen), for putting effort in coming up with the programmes.

Okay. We started out the day meeting at 9am, Serangoon Mac. You guys must be wondering how come a retreat starts there: WE HAD A MEETING BEFORE THAT! haha.. as usual we made fun of hsiao en, and we got down to business.. et cetera et cetera..

Next, we went to East Coast Park!!!! Obviously we went mad there, renting bikes and cycling everywhere. I had this stupid bike that has a faulty kickstand that automatically comes down every 10 mins. So throughout my 2 hour ride, I had plenty of nice passers-by who told me that my stand was down. So maluating!

Yihui was not much better: she was a hazard on the cycling path! haha.. She was zigzaging her way for the first 1/3 of the ride.. haha.. She almost banged into 2 kids, 1 adult, 1 lamppost, 2 cg members (me and debbie), and more to count. But thank God, through our prayers and petitions, she managed to revive her long-dead cycling skills. Anyone who is not afraid of death and wants to cycle with her do email her alright?

Well, the CLs also discovered something interesting: Jon Quek actually looks nicer with specs! haha.. We had a long pit stop at this field, whereby we started playing volleyball, using 3 bicycles as a net, which was a terrible idea, because we were practically knocking every bicycle down for every point we played.. (Jon Tay's lousy playing of course!) and because zhiwei and I were on the other team, we had to run around picking the balls.. well, zhiwei did more running.

Hsiao en and debbie, being demure ladies (although i dont think so) began flying kites. Being beginners, when they threw the kite into the air and began running, their kite immediately plunged downwards, which was super funny. There was once their kite was flying so low, an ang moh toddler just pulled down the kite string, and they had to start all over again. After many tries, they finally got their kite up high, only to be tangled with another kite. What a successful kite-flying experience!

Oh! Guys, u know what jon quek did? He brought a guitar along. We asked him why he brought a guitar when he knew that we were going cycling, he replied: "You'll never know when you'll need it." Yah, we had to convince the bicycle uncle to leave his guitar there..

After the cycling, we went on to BK for some "super munchkins", where jon tay, and his gift of the gab, managed to win all of us. This are the games you should not play with jon tay, cuz chances are, u will lose: Who's the boss and super munchkins.

We settled our dinner at this western restaurant near church office, but i forgot the name. haha..
We ordered great cuisine at very cheap prices! there's pasta, chicken chop, pork chop, so on and forth! haha.. it sounds like im promoting the restaurant. We had a great time just talking and affirming one another, and appreciating one another even more in this team!

In all, we had a great time relaxing and enjoying one another's company, and this vacation prepares us for the next spiritual battle that we face: to complete CG08! Let's give our best even though its the last week of school, AMEN?
